About us

BioFilmControl

The company was founded in 2005 by Dr Thierry Bernardi and Nicolas Bara to develop the BioFilm Ring Test (R) technology and to bring it to the  market.

From 2005 to 2008, BioFilm Control was hosted by INRA, the French National institute for Agronomic Research, in the framework of a partnership to validate the BioFilm Ring Test (R)

In 2008, the company moved to new premises at the Biopôle Clermont-Limagne, building up a 200m² laboratory comprising a P2 lab. Several academic partnerships led to the publication of numerous publications, enabling international commercial expansion in 2009.

The company is funded by a balanced mix of private capital, venture capital and commercial incomes.
